PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College welcomed its incoming students for Academic Year 2025–2026 through PASINATI 2025: Annual New Students’ Orientation, a multi-day program designed to prepare first-year learners for academic life and campus culture.
The orientation was organized by the Guidance, Counselling, and Testing Services Unit, the Office of the Student Development and Services, and the various academic units, ensuring that new students were well-acquainted with DNSC’s services, policies, and values.
The event spanned ten days, with each day dedicated to specific institutes and campuses. The Institute of Computing opened the series on July 28, followed by the Institute of Teacher Education on July 29. The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance took its turn on July 30, while the Institute of Aquatic and Applied Sciences held its orientation on July 31. On August 1, the program shifted focus to cross-cutting topics including Gender and Development, Safe Spaces, Disaster Preparedness, and Academic Policies.
The Davao del Norte Learning Institute was scheduled on August 2, followed by orientations for DNSC’s campuses: Carmen on August 4, Talaingod on August 5, and the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS) on August 6. The series concluded with the Institute of Advanced Studies on August 16.
Each morning session, except on August 1, introduced students to Student Development and Services Units, Admission and Registrar’s processes, and Security Services. The afternoons were devoted to Group Guidance Activities, which encouraged camaraderie, teamwork, and student engagement.
In her message, Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, SUC President III, highlighted the importance of values and character formation alongside academic preparation. “DNSC is more than academics. It is a community, a family. Here, respect, kindness, and discipline are the foundation of our culture. We uphold a culture of honor and respect, rooted in our core values of love for God and country. These values will keep you grounded and guide you toward success,” she said.
Through PASINATI 2025, DNSC not only introduced its services and processes but also instilled in students the values and culture that define the institution.
