The event was held on August 21, 2025, at the DNSC Academic Building.
With the theme on Media Literacy and Combatting Disinformation, the program sought to build the capacity of young leaders to navigate the digital landscape responsibly and harness media for positive community impact.
The sessions featured expert speakers, including Dr. Mervin Jay Z. Suaybaguio of the Provincial Information Office of Davao del Norte, who delivered an Introduction to Media Literacy, highlighting the importance of critical thinking in evaluating information sources. Participants also engaged in discussions on Combatting Fake News and Disinformation, a timely issue given the increasing prevalence of misleading content online.
