PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) emerged as one of the top-performing higher education institutions during the Deans Association of Agricultural Schools, Inc. (DAASI) 2nd Annual Student Regional Convention held on November 6–8, 2025, with the theme; “Driving Advocacy and Action for Sustainable Innovation in Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry in the Davao Region”.

The convention showcased the skills and competencies of students from various higher education institutions across the region in agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and socio-cultural events.

DNSC was declared Overall Champion in the Fisheries Technical Events, achieving the following distinctions:

1st Place – Fish Identification (Marie Joy S. Pizarro; Coaches: G. Guanzon & L. Bersano)
1st Place – Fish Weight Estimation (Marie Joy S. Pizarro; Coach: G. Guanzon)
1st Place – Quiz Bee (Francis Demigaya, Ashley M. Carpentero, and Izzy Myles C. Gomez; Coaches: L. Mondigo & B. Albert)
2nd Place – Bangus Deboning (Izzy Myles C. Gomez; Coach: B. Rodriguez)

The Forestry team, composed of students under the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry, made an impressive debut, finishing as 2nd Runner-Up Overall with performances in multiple categories:

Other notable entries included the Parliamentary Procedure team led by Honey G. Martin, and participants in Public Speaking, Poster Making, and Technology Business Proposal (Food and Non-Food categories).

These accomplishments emphasized DNSC’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, hands-on learning, and community engagement, all aligned with its mission to advance innovation in agriculture, fisheries, and forestry education.
