PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College, through its Quality Assurance Office, conducted an online Coaching and Mentoring Session for Document Control Officers on July 3, 2025, via Microsoft Teams.
Facilitated by a consultant from JBDC, the session aimed to strengthen documentation practices across the College in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Discussions covered key triggers for document revision, including audit findings, process changes, regulatory updates, and user feedback.
Participants, who are the Delivery Unit-Document Control Custodians (DU-DCCs), led by Ms. Amalia C. Caballero, reviewed the Change Request and Justification process along with the Review and Approval cycle. Best practices in version control, archiving, and communicating document changes were also tackled.

The session also focused on effective document creation, emphasizing clarity of ownership, alignment with operational purpose, and proper formatting. Real case examples of Document Control Numbers (DCNs) and draft version handling were presented to reinforce learning.
The consultant highlighted improvements in language clarity, use of measurable statements, and collaborative tools. More than a technical training, the session traced the role of document control in system integrity, operational efficiency, and audit readiness.
