PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College, through the facilitation of the Planning and Resource Management Office, held a three-day Midyear Planning activity that gathered key officials for strategic reflection and performance assessment, while also charting a forward-looking course for the College’s second-semester operations and long-term development.
College President Joy M. Dr. Sorrosa also emphasized the College’s future direction, which includes advancing Universityhood and prioritizing the health and wellness of its employees, underscoring that empowered human capital is vital to sustaining DNSC’s momentum.
The planning sessions also covered institutional updates and assessments, including the Status of Monitoring and Evaluation of Memoranda of Agreement (MOA), Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), and Memoranda of Partnership (MOP), as well as a progress review of DNSC’s 2025 physical accomplishments.
Further discussions included the Status Report on SUC Levelling Self-Evaluation and an evaluation of the College’s attainment of the Strategic Development Plan 2025–2029, a blueprint designed to steer DNSC toward institutional maturity and relevance in the rapidly evolving higher education landscape.
Key updates on the Proposed Organizational Structure and the Priority Capital Outlay of Projects were likewise presented to guide decision-making on resource allocation and institutional realignment.
Completing the planning agenda was the presentation of accomplishments and catch-up plans by the Vice Presidents, Deans, and Directors, which provided a platform for alignment, feedback, and inter-office collaboration.
This year’s Midyear Planning marks a symbolic return to Taglucop, where DNSC previously held its 2021 session. Reflecting on the four-year journey, the gathering reaffirmed the College’s strengthened resolve and collective wisdom, continuing to dream boldly while anchoring its progress on data-driven governance and inclusive leadership.
