PANABO CITY – The Human Resource Management Division – Learning and Development Unit of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted an Integrated Training on Search, Retrieval, Rescue, First Aid, and Patient Transport on March 5, 2025, at the GAD Conference Hall.

Participants from the College Incident Management Team, Security Services Unit, and General Services Unit received hands-on instruction to enhance their emergency response capabilities. Through lectures, demonstrations, and simulation exercises, they learned systematic search operations, safe victim retrieval, basic rescue techniques, scene assessment, hazard identification, and safety protocols, while building teamwork, coordination, and confidence.

The sessions were led by Bachelor of Science in Disaster Resilience and Management faculty members, with Kim Harvey C. Roca covering Immobilization, Extrication, and Patient Transport, and Christhelle G. Gerona handling Basic Life Support and First Aid.

In his closing remarks, Marc Dhariel V. Macabodbod, Assistant Incident Commander, pointed out the need for regular practice, “A one-day training is not enough. We must practice regularly to maintain these skills. Emergencies and disasters often strike without warning, and this training prepares us to respond effectively. Be alert, attentive, and always remember what you learned.”
