PANABO CITY – To equip teacher education students with innovative teaching and assessment practices, selected students and faculty members of Davao del Norte State College attended the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE), Inc. Region XI conference on October 25, 2024, at the Holy Cross of Davao College Gymnasium.

“Attending the Student Congress 2024 was an enriching experience. The sessions reinforced the importance of adapting strategies to meet students’ needs and highlighted how action research empowers teachers to continually refine their practice,” said Rhona Lee Jagmoc, one of the participants.

The conference featured sessions on Interactive and Innovative Teaching Strategies by PAFTE Executive Director Milagros L. Borabo, Assessment Planning by Giovanni A. Montejo, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Assumption College of Davao, and Classroom-based Action Research by Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., President of the University of Southeastern Philippines.

Accompanying the students were faculty members; Mr. John Rae V. Duran, Mr. Noli C. Guadalquiver, Jr., and Ms. Rizalyn P. Duran. A total of 40 DNSC students participated in the congress.
