PANABO CITY – Graduating students of Davao del Norte State College’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) programs attended the Career Development Seminar and On-the-Job Training Pinning Ceremony for Academic Year 2023 – 2024. The event was held at the DNSC Gymnasium on February 14, 2024, and was facilitated by the Institute of Computing.

In his opening remarks, IC Dean Mark Van M. Buladaco challenged the trainees to, “gain invaluable hands-on experience and forge connections within the industry… Embrace challenges, ask questions, and actively participate – for every experience, every interaction, will shape your future path.”

The institute invited Mr. Myrrhtaire V. Castillo to provide tips on effectively navigating the industry workplace, while IC alumni, Mr. Glendell R. Jadraque and Ms. Kres-Ann Oclarit, inspired the trainees to persevere and learn as much as they can from the OJT experience. The candidates were presented by BSIT program chair Jonilyn T. Dabalos and BSIS program chair Jovanne C. Alejandrino during the ceremony.

The trainees are expected to be deployed to public and private agencies, where they are hoped to contribute in advancing innovation by utilizing their information technology skills and problem-solving abilities.
