The Institute
of Computing (IC) offers two programs that the Commission in Higher Education
categorized as highest priority; the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems
and the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The institute has a
strong faculty profile and state-of-the-art facilities. Faculty members and
students are immersed in research and extension projects. They also gave
numerous publications in international journals indexed in Scopus and WoS. IC
delivers instruction in the fields of programming, web development, multimedia,
system analysis and design, and data mining. We envision to become a Center of
Development for our programs.
Greetings!
Amidst global challenges, Davao del Norte State College’s Institute of Computing is steadfast in delivering academic excellence and quality instruction. We are able to do this because of our strong faculty profile. 20 percent of the total number of our teachers have doctorate degrees, eleven percent are currently finishing their doctorate degrees, and the rest are master’s degree holders or are enrolled in a graduate degree program.
We are active in research with numerous published articles in international journals indeed in Scopus and WoS and we also extend expert services to our stakeholders, particularly for skills development.
We have computer laboratories where students can learn and practice. We encourage our students to be active in research and student development activities. As of 2022, there are 31 published articles authored by our students in international journals. We envision in the next ten years to become a Center of Development for the Information Technology and Information Systems programs in the Davao Region.
As we adapt to new normal approaches, our focus is on equipping our students with valuable education that will help them survive any crisis and improve their lives and the lives of others.
To all ICEANS, always uphold the core values of DNSC in your future endeavors and careers. Remember to live and work with Excellence, Integrity, Innovation, Stewardship, and Love of God and Country.
May God bless us all.
