PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) has been consistent in cultivating a culture of excellence since it earned the Certificate of Compliance to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 (then 9001:2008) in 2017. The College also encourages a collaborative environment where personnel are free to share their inputs and knowledge.

Last September 01, 2023, DNSC welcomed the delegates from Davao Oriental State University for a benchmarking activity on quality assurance. Among the guests were Dr. Romeo Redulla, DOrSU Quality Assurance Director, together with Francisco Baraquel Jr., Angely Grace Timbogan, Rejolor Pequiro, Dionese Cescil Catubig, Justine Reigh Regino, Joel Iloy Jr., Ivan Saligumba, and George Pusta.

The receiving team of DNSC, headed by the Quality Assurance Office, presented the milestones on DNSC’s ISO Certification, composition of the ISO Quality Management System team and Internal Quality Auditors, trainings and initiatives, and monitoring mechanisms on action plans for identified risks and issues and beneficial plans for identified opportunities. The process flow for program accreditation and in-house development of systems were also discussed.

One of the systems is the DNSC Program Accreditation Management System or AKRED. It addresses the challenges and difficulties experienced by the accreditation task force, internal and external auditors, and management team during the preparation and conduct of the accreditation surveys. It digitizes the accreditation process, allowing accessibility of documents to various users, proper organization and storage of files and documents, as well as ease in navigating through loads of information.
