PANABO CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the list of successful examinees of the October 2023 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals (LEFP) that was conducted on October 25 – 26, 2023. 11 out of the 19 examinees from Davao del Norte State College passed the exam, which resulted to a 57.89% passing rate.

The national passing rate is 33.71% with a total number of 716 passers out of 2,124 examinees. Out of DNSC’s 10 first-time examinees, 5 passed and 5 failed, tallying to a 50% performance rate. There were 9 recorded repeaters from DNSC. 6 passed the examination, resulting in a 66.67% performance rate.

DNSC’s examinees underwent an online review program facilitated by the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, inviting top-notchers from previous board exams and fisheries practitioners.

DNSC ranked 5th among Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with 15 or more examinees. However, this year, none qualified as top-performing schools in the Licensure Examination, in accordance with Commission Resolution No.2017-1058(c) series of 2017.
