PANABO CITY- The Office of the President of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) released memorandum no. 085, series of 2023, directing all personnel and students to participate in the 4th quarter of 2023 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 9, 2023, 9:00 AM.

The activity is one of the mandated tasks and protocols under Republic Act No. 10121 or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010. The law emphasizes a proactive and holistic approach to disaster risk reduction, with a focus on community involvement and sustainable development.

DNSC’s College Disaster Resilience and Administration Committee (DRAC), alongside the College Emergency Response Team and Medical Service Unit, facilitated the earthquake and emergency response drill. All stakeholders inside the campus premises performed the basic earthquake protocol of duck, cover, and hold.
