PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College welcomed the delegates from the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) and Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) for a benchmarking activity on March 6, 2024, at the DNSC Gender and Development Health and Wellness Complex.

“I believe benchmarking is a two-way process in which you will learn from us, and we will be learning from you as well.” Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Reir Erlinda E. Cutad, said as she delivered the welcome message to the guests.

SPAMAST’s main goal of the visit was to familiarize the operations of the following offices; Records Management Office, Office of the College Registrar, Infrastructure and Engineering Unit, Legal Unit, and Public Information Office.

Ms. Amalia M. Caballero, Records Officer III, Ms. Felicidad L. Forro, College Registrar, Engr. Joenabel A. Ganiera, College Engineer, Atty. Loverill P. Fontanilla, Attorney IV, Mr. Alfred Gene B. Lacandula, Legal Assistant III, and Ms. Czarina Nicole M. Lanes, Information Officer III, represented DNSC.

On the other hand, the objective of DSSC was to learn how to facilitate the State University and Colleges (SUC) president renewal of term. They were accommodated by Director for Executive Affairs Melissa G. Dalumay.

Benchmarking has been made essential for higher education institutions in the recent years to pinpoint areas for development and to generate ways of evaluating performance.
