PANABO CITY – The University of the Philippines Mindanao’s Applied Biodiversity Research for the Holistic Advancement in Mindanao (ABRAHAM) project has been in collaboration with Davao del Norte State College and other state universities and colleges for years to promote the advancement of marine biodiversity studies and research.

Last September 6, 2023, the team once again paid a visit to DNSC to facilitate a workshop on the Marine Biodiversity Database (MABIDA) website. The MABIDA project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology and allows an individual to “access genetic and morphological data about marine fauna and flora from a collection built by researchers around the world.” The MABIDA website team provided a workshop to selected DNSC faculty members, researchers, and biodiversity museum staff on user roles, navigation, account creation, data entry, importing and exporting data, and data cleansing of the website.
