PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College hosted a turning over and acceptance ceremony of completed infrastructure projects last January 9, 2023, at the DNSC Gymnasium. College President Joy M. Sorrosa gave the acceptance speech, emphasizing that the completion is a response to the inadequacy of administration and academic facilities and a step to ensure that DNSC can give the best service to its clienteles in an excellent environment.

The DNSC Sports Complex, which include the Student Development and Services Building, Grandstand, Playing Courts for Sepak Takraw, Volleyball, and Lawn Tennis, Track and Field Oval, Cauldron, and Flag Poles, was among the completed projects. It is positioned to provide a conducive space where students can conduct activities and work towards holistic development. Another project was the Gender and Development Health and Wellness Complex, intended to prioritize the well-being of the DNSC personnel. It houses the clinic, fitness gym, aerobics area, conference and activity area, breastfeeding room, child minding facility, napping station, and more. The contractor for both projects was the Jargon Construction and Supply.

The RC Capa Engineering Works and Construction handed over the Solar Energy System at the roof deck of the four-storey academic building. The acquisition of the system is part of the College’s aim of maintaining a green campus that promotes sustainability and environmental conservation. The two-storey multipurpose building for the Research, Extension, and Production unit was also ready to be occupied.

During the brief program before the ribbon-cutting in the sites, College Engineer, Joenabel A. Ganiera, presented the progress and functions of the projects.
