PANABO CITY – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) fulfills its social responsibility and mandate to look after the well-being of families and children left behind by Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) through its new program, the OFW Children’s Circle.

On November 14, 2023, OWWA Region XI officials visited Davao del Norte State College for a meet-and-greet and services orientation. The participants were anak (children of) OFWs currently enrolled in DNSC. The orientation was given by Family Welfare Officer, Mr. Ricarte N. Gumiloy, at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room.

OWWA’s counterpart in DNSC for the event was the Office of the Student Development and Services, through the Guidance, Counselling, and Testing Services and the Job Placement Services. The event was also held to nurture future leaders among the OFW children and cultivate a sense of community where the children could feel safe and empowered.
