PANABO CITY – Tabuan sa DNSC, a revered market square put up annually by the fourth-year students of Davao del Norte State College’s Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program, is now open to customers, starting October 2, 2024. This year, twenty small-scale businesses with diverse products are featured.

“This is part of the program’s goal of imparting experiential learning. The College is providing an opportunity for students to test their business ideas and implement plans. We aspire for our student implementers to graduate with the confidence and skills to start their own businesses in the near future,” said Florie Ann L. Fermil, Dean of the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance, during her welcome address.

The stalls are located behind the MPEC building, along the College Canteen grounds, and one fronting the ACES College Panabo. Offerings include sweet treats like donuts, churros, and Filipino desserts such as Puto Balanghoy with chocolate and yema filling. Additionally, coffee, fruit shakes, rice meals, and other innovative products that highlight local flavors and ingredients are available.

Lovencia L. Bangoy, Chief Executive Officer of Sherlove Farm and Sherlove Inland Resort, graced the opening and ribbon-cutting as guest of honor. She delivered an inspirational message, encouraging students to “Start with passion, embrace adaptability, build community, focus on sustainability, and never stop learning. Success isn’t just measured by profits, it’s about making an impact, creating something meaningful, and inspiring others along the way.”
